I am a Black Deaf writer who has lived experiences that I sometimes fictionally write about. These entail deafness (of course!), Blackness and mental health issues plus being a mother!
I have written for the now defunct gal-dem publication, many articles for The Limping Chicken website ran by Charlie Swinbourne and have had several short plays/TV scripts performed by Paula Garfield’s Deafinitely Theatre. One of which is called I Still Blame Myself to which viewers discretion is advised.
Several poems published by Peepal Tree Press’s Weighted Words book and in the book called What Meets the Eye? The Deaf Perspective published by Arachne Press.
I also have two monologues in the Hear Me Now: Volume Two Audition Monologues for Actors of Colour.
